Spring is here ! And spring is the season of renewal and rebirth. Nature is waking up, birds are singing, insects are buzzing … You have certainly felt some changes yourself, a sudden desire to eat a little lighter or get back to sport? In alternative medicine, such as naturopathy or ayurveda, you will always be advised to eat seasonal fruits and vegetables. After all, if nature produces them, it is for a reason! What is Kefir?
The origins and benefits of Kefir
First of all, where does it come from? From the Caucasus region, in Eurasia, where it has been drunk since Antiquity. As much to tell you that it’s been a while! Originally, it was mostly fermented milk but over time fruit kefir has appeared. It is the latter that allows us to make a fresh and sparkling drink thanks to a fermentation process. Who says fermentation says bacteria and yeasts, and who says bacteria and yeasts says probiotics, CQFD! To put it simply, we use “kefir grains”, which are nothing more than probiotics (good bacteria, like those found naturally in the stomach), which we put in liquid. sugar water so that they feed on it and turn into gas.
Much scientific work has been carried out on the therapeutic virtues of Kefir. It appears that Kefir promotes digestion, contributes to the proper functioning of the body, fights osteoporosis, facilitates weight loss, strengthens the immune system by keeping the intestinal flora in good health and would even help fight against certain tumors. ! 1 The bacteriologist and immunologist Ilya Metchnikov who won the 1908 Nobel Prize in Physics or Medicine (co-winner, with Paul Ehrlich to be exact ????) has established, as part of his studies on probiotics, that Kefir to be very rich in it would prolong life, just that! So, Kefir magic?

Kefir is good, but combining it with CBD is better! Why ? CBD also has many medicinal and therapeutic properties. It is known, among other things, to relieve stress and anxiety while providing a feeling of calm and relaxation. It acts as a muscle relaxant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, relieves various pains (back pain, kidneys, stomach …), reduces nausea and vomiting associated with radiotherapy or chemotherapy2, helps treat epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease but also cancer. Detox CBD Kefir Recipe
Ingredients for 1L:
- 40g of awakened fruit kefir grains
- 40g of sugar
- 1 slice of organic lemon
- 1L of water (filtered, decanted or bottled)
- 8g of CBD Detox
Utensils (nothing metal because kefir is corrosive!):
- A colander
- A funnel
- A jar
- A glass bottle
1. First fermentation: Place the kefir grains, water, sugar, lemon slice and dried fig in the jar and cover with the cloth. Leave it to rest in a corner of your kitchen for 48 hours.
2. Second fermentation: Place the funnel on the bottle and the strainer on top and strain your drink. You can eat lemon and fig, use them in herbal tea, put them in compost … but do not throw away your kefir grains which can serve you almost indefinitely! You just need to put them in a jar with 1/3 of their weight in sugar and cover with water. Close the jar. You will need to refresh the kefir (i.e. add sugar and water) every other day if you keep it at room temperature or once a week if you keep it in the fridge. Everything will depend on your consumption. Add the CBD Detox to your drink, close the bottle and let it ferment for another 24 hours. The next day, open your bottle, allowing the gas to escape gradually and filter your drink again. And there you have it, your Detox CBD Kefir is ready! Be careful when opening for the first time, it goes crazy !! Good tasting !
